Mammography Technologist – Travel Contract

Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Department: 821A Alpha Women’s Imaging
Facility: Alpharetta Breast Care Center
Location: 3400-C Old Milton Parkway, Suite 145, Alpharetta, GA 30005
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Hours: 5×8-hour shifts / 40 hours per week
Local Candidates: No local candidates within 50 miles

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Mammography experience

• AHA BLS certification required

• ARRT – Mammography (M) certification required

• Competency in stereotactic breast biopsy procedures

• Ability to independently perform mammography quality control (QC)

• Experience performing a full range of mammography studies, including:

  • Screening and diagnostic mammography

  • Needle localization

  • Ductograms

  • Stereotactic procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography examinations safely and accurately according to established protocols

• Assist with stereotactic biopsies and other breast imaging procedures

• Perform required mammography QC activities

• Provide appropriate patient positioning and ensure high-quality diagnostic images

• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining patient safety and regulatory standards

• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals

Holiday Requirement

Must work 2 major holidays from:

• Thanksgiving Day

• Christmas Day

• New Year's Day

And 1 minor holiday:

• Friday after Thanksgiving

• Christmas Eve

• New Year's Eve
