MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST - WARREN BREAST CENTER - 40 HOURS WEEKLY - DAY SHIFT

Schedule: Varying hours Monday through Friday between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Rotating Saturdays.

General Summary

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic breast imaging procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician.
• Performs related functions according to department protocols.
• Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).

• If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.

• Failure to obtain registry within the designated timeframe will result in termination of the Mammography Tech position.

• Must maintain the required hours of continued medical education.

• Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria, as well as other regulatory agencies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in performing screening and diagnostic mammography preferred
• Experience preferred in stereotactic breast biopsy and bone density preferred, but willing to train
