Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Schedule: Full-time | 40 hours/week | 5x8-hour shifts
Shift Timing: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract / Full-time (as applicable)
Position Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join a high-volume Breast Imaging Center. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography in alignment with ACR, MQSA, and FDA standards. This role also involves supporting advanced breast imaging procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care across diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in compliance with ACR guidelines
- Assist with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsies, and needle localization procedures
- Prepare and position patients to ensure comfort, safety, and optimal imaging results
- Operate radiologic and mammography equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ensure correct patient identification and proper labeling of all imaging studies
- Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education, including breast self-exam guidance
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete all required reporting
- Support quality control and quality assurance activities, including equipment testing and checks
- Organize imaging records, charts, and case materials for procedures
- Track and assist with follow-up for biopsies, imaging studies, and patient outcomes
- Adhere to all infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Adapt care delivery to meet the needs of diverse patient populations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized clinical environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT certification (R.T. (R)) required
- Active state license in Diagnostic Radiography
- Mammography certification required or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
- Strong knowledge of breast imaging techniques and mammography procedures
- Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills
