Position Overview: Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist)


Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) performs a variety of digital mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic exams, wire localizations, galactography, biopsy procedures, DEXA exams, and quality control. The Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) ensures high-quality care is provided to the patient while meeting the needs of the organization, regulatory agencies, physicians, and staff. A working knowledge and experience in Digital Mammography, sterile technique, and documentation and record-keeping are essential for success in this role. This position requires the ability to work independently, provide excellent patient care and communication, and demonstrate a commitment to our Core Values.


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:


+ Documentation of Digital Mammography Tomo Training (8 hours)

+ Mammography Experience : Minimum of 200 exams performed in the past 24 months

+ Mammography Continuing Education : 15 hours completed in the past 36 months

+ Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology Program

+ Current CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)

+ Current Mammographic Permit

+ Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

+ Strong communication and patient care skills

+ Ability to effectively operate radiologic equipment


Preferred but, not required:


+ Associate’s Degree

+ ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Pay Range

$57.17 - $57.17 /hour
