The Opportunity Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) – 13-Week Travel Assignment
Location: Hospital Setting
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (40 hours/week)

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our hospital imaging team for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Candidates must be proficient in using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system and demonstrate excellent communication and technical skills.
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy.
Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion.
Operate and maintain mammography equipment in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
Accurately document patient information, imaging procedures, and results using the EPIC EMR system.
Follow MQSA, ACR, FDA, and hospital policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols.
Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities as required.
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current ARRT Mammography Certification [ARRT(M)] required.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
Active state licensure, if required by the state of practice.
Minimum of one (1) year of recent mammography experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging setting.
Previous travel assignment experience preferred.
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records required.
Strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques and positioning.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows.

13-week contract
Day Shift
40 hours per week
Weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements as determined by the facility
Breast ultrasound or breast imaging experience preferred.
Experience in a hospital-based radiology department.
Knowledge of digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography).
