  • Please note that this position is onsite and therefore requires the ability to commute to Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX.*

The Mammography Technologist position requires the individual to be certified as a Radiology Technologist and registered as a Mammography Technologist. Operate all x-ray equipment needed to provide mammography procedures. Must be able to perform technical procedures with minimum supervision and make independent judgment in using ionizing radiation. The procedures performed along with Radiologist''s interpretation must meet state and federal regulations. Each facility must designate a quality control technologist with responsibilities to meet the quality control requirements of state and federal guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a hospital or college-based accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
  • National Registered Technologist - Mammography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 1 year of hire
  • Texas General Medical Radiologic Technologist License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • Radiology experience in a hospital or clinic setting including film processing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of 40 hours of formal training in Mammography including 25 supervised mammograms, as required by the Mammography Quality Standards Acts (MQSA)

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate''s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
