Local: $70.00 - $73.00/hour
Traveler: $75.00 - $78.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including 2D, 3D, specialized breast imaging, and breast biopsy support.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Licensed Mammography Technologist experience
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• High school diploma or equivalent
• ARRT Radiography [R] certification
• ARRT Mammography [M] certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
• Active New Jersey Diagnostic Radiography License
• CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with digital screening and diagnostic mammography
• Experience with 2D and 3D mammography
• Experience with Digital Breast Tomosynthesis
• Breast positioning and compression experience
• Experience with magnification, spot compression, and Eklund views
• Experience assisting with stereotactic biopsies and needle localization
• Knowledge of breast anatomy, pathology, and BI-RADS
• PACS and EMR/EPIC experience
• Knowledge of radiation safety, ALARA, MQSA, and ACR standards
• English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• SecureView/Hologic workstation experience or equivalent
• Additional mammography quality-control experience

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography
• Perform 2D and 3D Digital Breast Tomosynthesis
• Perform magnification, spot compression, and Eklund views
• Assist with breast needle localization and stereotactic procedures
• Assist with stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast procedures
• Assist with breast ultrasound and specimen radiography
• Select appropriate technical factors and equipment
• Apply proper positioning, compression, and immobilization
• Verify patient identification and image labeling
• Review images for quality and diagnostic value
• Prepare patient charts and prior imaging
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education
• Perform required mammography QC and QA procedures
• Maintain accurate Breast Center, PACS, and EMR documentation
• Assist with patient follow-up tracking
• Follow infection-control, HIPAA, radiation-safety, and ALARA standards
