What You’ll Do
- Perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures/services as appropriate to the tasking/TO.
- Position patients correctly and make technical adjustments for required examinations; determine special patient preparation needs.
- Process digital images and submit appropriate image series for radiologist interpretation per protocol.
- Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures; perform system warm-ups, calibrations, and quality control tasks per manufacturer and facility policy/regulations.
- Document procedures and maintain required records, including arrival/departure/completed tests.
- Assist with ultrasound-guided and stereotactic biopsies and perform post-biopsy imaging (as required).
- Recognize artifacts/equipment errors and notify designated personnel; initiate repair call procedures and record issues in the trouble log.
- Recognize and respond to symptoms related to contrast media reactions and institute necessary emergency measures when required.
What You Need
Required
- ARRT certification
- Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a Mammography Tech
- Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program
