Provides quality patient care when performing mammography imaging services and related procedures by applying x-ray energy to demonstrate breast anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles.

Monday- Friday 7:30am-3pm
Responsibilities:
Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
Complies with FDA and MQSA regulatory requirements.
Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.
Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age specific needs.
Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient’s clinical history, and assures that the information is accurately documented.
Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors, to achieve desired high-quality images for interpretation.
Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, patient identification, and ensures that all breast anatomy is demonstrated according to MQSA/ACR guidelines.
Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
Requires utilization of Radiology Information System to accurately show arrival and completion of exams, correct coding of procedures done, and retrieval of reports.
Utilizes sterile technique for sterile procedures in accordance with OH policy and training. Administers medical aid as required for any emergency.
Comprehends and complies with Quality Control standards and participates in all Quality Control tasks.
Applies appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
Ensures safety of all customers.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, department guidelines and education requirements.
Follows established imaging processing procedures and techniques.
Maintains a clean organized work area.
Maintains well stocked rooms.
Assures customer satisfaction.
Prioritizes workload to manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Must have and maintain CME points as mandated by MQSA.
None.
Valid Florida state license.
Valid Radiology registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required.
