Managed File Transfer (MFT) Specialist - Hybrid

Managed File Transfer (MFT) Specialist position open for a full-time IT professional with of experience supporting file transfers, IT applications, networking, and infrastructure. This role will configure and maintain secure file transfer connections, troubleshoot transmission issues, support cloud-based file storage, and provide technical support to internal and external customers. You will be onsite 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Requirements & Skills

• 1–3 years of Information Technology experience; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• Understanding of Managed File Transfer (MFT) concepts and file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, and AS2
• Basic understanding of networking, TCP/IP, firewalls, Windows Server, and infrastructure
• Experience with configuration, troubleshooting, and technical problem resolution
• Knowledge of cloud storage and cloud technologies; Azure experience is a plus
• Understanding of EDI, PGP encryption, SSL/TLS certificates, or related secure data exchange technologies is preferred
• Experience working with ticketing systems and documented IT procedures
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical users
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to take ownership of issues through resolution
• Ability to follow established procedures while demonstrating curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies
• Interest in artificial intelligence and emerging technology is a plus

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain secure file transfer connections for internal and external customers
• Support the electronic transmission of invoices and other business-critical files across multiple divisions
• Monitor file transfer systems and investigate failed, delayed, or incomplete transmissions
• Troubleshoot connectivity, configuration, authentication, encryption, and file transfer issues
• Manage file transfer protocols, schedules, configurations, and related processes
• Work assigned issues through a ticketing system and document troubleshooting and resolutions
• Coordinate with EDI, Infrastructure, Security, and other technical teams to resolve complex issues
• Communicate with internal business users, external customers, and technical teams throughout the troubleshooting and resolution process
• Assist with onboarding new customers and business partners by configuring connections, testing transfers, and supporting go-live activities
• Maintain documentation for file transfer processes, configurations, and procedures
• Monitor and maintain related applications, servers, and cloud storage environments
• Perform routine maintenance, configuration changes, and updates in accordance with established procedures
• Participate in incident response and provide after-hours support only for significant or critical issues
