The Village of Glenview is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic full-time Management Analyst to assist various departments with project management, budget analysis, process analysis, and special projects. The Management Analyst position plays a vital role in ensuring informed decision-making, driving organizational efficiency, and supporting the successful implementation of strategic initiatives to Make Life Better for the residents of Glenview. 

Requirements:

 Core responsibilities of the position include: 

  • Provide analytical and administrative support to the Department Director, exercising independent judgment on complex or ambiguous issues. 
  • Conduct research and program analysis to inform and influence department decision-making including drafting professional reports and making presentations before senior management and the Village Board. 
  • Assist in developing, monitoring, and tracking the department’s budget by analyzing expenditures, preparing annual budget requests, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. 
  • Support contract administration and procurement processes, including preparing bid specifications, evaluating proposals, and processing payments. 
  • Coordinate and support new program and technology implementation within the Village by collaborating with stakeholders, recommending solutions, facilitating training, and ensuring effective integration and ongoing user support.   
  • Develop systems, policies and procedures to identify efficiencies, streamline operations and improve services within departments.  
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to internal and external requests and represents the assigned department and/or the Village at special events, community meetings, or intergovernmental meetings. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Directors or the Village Manager, including special projects for any Village department. 

Qualifications: 

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in public administration, business management, political science, research analysis, or a closely related field; a master's degree is preferred, plus one to three years of related professional experience, preferably in local government. The ideal candidate is dependable, has a strong work ethic, and demonstrates a genuine commitment to public service, with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear, well-organized reports for senior management and elected officials. The successful candidate must be able to exercise sound independent judgment, manage competing priorities with minimal supervision, and maintain discretion with sensitive or confidential information. 


Schedule/Work location: 

This position is typically required to work during the hours Village Hall is open, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., for a total of 40 hours per week. This position is exempt under FLSA. Attendance at Village Board or Village Commission meetings outside of standard operating hours may also be required. 


Salary: 

The salary range for this position (AT2E) is $68,231.53 – $95,524.15 DOQ, with an excellent fringe benefit package including health insurance and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension. This position will remain open until filled, with initial resume review beginning August 24, 2026. The selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation.
