BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is the Department's Reporting and Data Quality specialist. The incumbent will assist business programs across the agency with reporting and data quality initiatives. This position collaborates with staff in IT, finance, licensing, compliance, and many other teams. This position is tasked with creating and managing reports, working with information system experts to provide business intelligence, developing and documenting data quality initiatives, assisting with system administration, and assisting with data governance policy. This position communicates with all levels of staff to ensure the transparency and quality of environmental data. The ability to work independently and dig deep into backend data are critical capabilities for this position. The position reports to the Department's Data & Research Coordinator in the Division of Resource Administration.
Based on guidance from the agency's Business Analyst and in accordance with Office of Information Technology policy, this position enhances decision making, transparency, accountability, and trust for The Department and the Department's customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Six (6) years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices.
Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience with reporting tools including but not limited to SAP Crystal Reports, Microsoft Power BI, ESRI ArcGIS, Microsoft Access, etc.
- Ability to convey technical information clearly in oral and written communications.
- Experience finding common ground with people with different perspectives.
- Ability to ask questions and think creatively when identifying and analyzing problems.
- Knowledge of institutional structure and the pros and cons contained therein.
