The Management Analyst III assigned to the UI Benefits System and Strategy Unit within the Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is responsible for high-level operational support, business analysis, reporting, and performance analytics to improve service delivery, compliance, and efficiency. The incumbent serves as a project lead on operational and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with agency goals and regulatory requirement.
The incumbent confers with agency staff, including but not limited to, Director of Claims and Appeals, Director of Revenue, Internal Control, Director of Labor Relations, and senior management to identify operational problems, compliance risks, and business needs; determines the need for and conducts special studies, audits, and operational reviews; and recommends changes in agency operations, policies, procedures, and programs; compiles information for management use; and performs related work as required. The incumbent :
Develops, documents, and implements standardized processes and procedures to improve consistency, efficiency, and accountability across all business operations. Leads employee audit activities to ensure compliance with internal controls, agency policies, and labor agreements.
Analyzes automated systems and collaborates with Information Technology staff to resolve problems, enhance system functionality, and recommend improvements. Leads testing and implementation activities for system enhancements.

I. A Bachelor''s degree with a major in business administration, business management, public administration, industrial engineering or industrial management may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.*
II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, budget management, public administration, industrial engineering or industrial management may be substituted for a maximum of three years of the required experience.*
III. A Bachelor''s degree or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management, public administration, industrial engineering or industrial management may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
NOTE: Educational substitutions will be permitted for a maximum of three years of the required experience.
