Duties
Help
The Office of Environment, Health, Safety and Security (EH) is the Departments central organization responsible for health, safety, environment, and security. It provides corporate-level leadership and strategic vision to coordinate and integrate these vital programs. EH is responsible for policy development and technical assistance; safety analysis; and corporate safety and security programs. EH advises DOE Senior Leadership on all matters related to environment, health, safety and security across the complex.
The EH Office of Data Strategy and Performance collects, analyzes, and shares performance data and event experience from mission-critical operations across the DOE complex to improve environmental, safety, and health performance at DOE sites; provides training, consultation, and assistance to support mission accomplishments across the entire DOE enterprise; and works proactively with DOE Headquarters and Field Offices to identify and resolve shared issues and to foster continuous improvement and health and safety excellence.
As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for the stewardship of programs that support the prevention of high-threshold adverse operational events across the DOE Enterprise.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidates online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
