Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Management Specialist to support financial operations, budget management, capital project oversight, and program administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis, project coordination, and budget management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple business units while ensuring compliance with financial policies, funding requirements, and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial transactions and disbursements to ensure compliance with applicable funding, regulatory, and program requirements.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure financial accountability and prevent cost overruns.
  • Conduct quarterly financial analyses and prepare budget reports, supporting documentation, and program summaries.
  • Coordinate budget activities and financial communications with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee project-related accounts payable activities, including reviewing contractor invoices, payment requests, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor capital project expenditures against approved budgets and funding allocations.
  • Validate contractor billings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established financial procedures.
  • Coordinate with contractors to verify timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Resolve contractor payment inquiries and financial discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and transaction data within internal database systems.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and support audit activities by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external organizations to coordinate project logistics and operational activities.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline financial and operational workflows.
  • Support project management activities, including milestone tracking, reporting, and coordination across multiple concurrent projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time professional experience in one or more of the following:
    • Financial Analysis
    • Management Analysis
    • Budget Administration
    • Management Reporting
  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing large-scale project budgets.
  • Strong experience with financial reporting, budget monitoring, and expenditure analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with financial management systems and databases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in:

  • Experience in budget administration, financial administration, or economic analysis.
  • Understanding of public finance and procurement processes.
