Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Management Trainee on behalf of our client, a major supplier of food service equipment and supplies to the food service industry. This role is designed as a developmental leadership position, providing hands-on exposure to warehouse operations, distribution, retail store management, and call center functions. The Management Trainee will gain comprehensive knowledge of the business while developing the leadership skills needed to eventually manage teams and operations across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a structured Management Trainee program to learn all aspects of warehouse, distribution, retail store, and call center operations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of company products, systems, procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Support and eventually help lead non-commissioned sales and service teams.
  • Motivate and manage staff to ensure exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure customers receive the "Right Items, Right Prices, Right Now" experience.
  • Gain hands-on experience with inventory systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and operational workflows.
  • Assist in daily operational activities across multiple departments as needed.
  • Learn and apply company procedures related to logistics, distribution, and customer support.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to identify operational improvements.
  • Travel between company locations as needed for training and operational support.
  • Potentially relocate to new or existing geographic locations upon completion of training.
Requirements Include:Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
  • 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience required.
  • Experience in food service, restaurant operations, retail, or call center environments preferred.
  • Prior experience leading teams in a customer-facing operational environment strongly preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic POS systems.
  • Strong systems orientation with ability to follow structured procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Certifications:
  • No certifications required.
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of customer service and operational best practices in retail, food service, or distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and sales/service operations preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse or logistics operations is a plus.
