The program is designed to give you exposure to both operations and sales, allowing you the opportunity to follow your passion and set your own path.Once a track record of success within the stores has been established, employees may also become eligible for professional management or sales positions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs part of your on-the -job training, you will be responsible for the following functions, although additional duties may be added, as needed.Take the lead in establishing a customer service oriented, sales focused, positive & productive store cultureAssist customers, identify customer needs, answer questions and provide solutionsProcess sales and paymentsMix & match paint for customer orders, checking for accuracyLearn and participate in personnel management, as necessaryAssist with accurate & timely processing of administrative paperworkPlace orders with purchasing manager for special ordersParticipate in the merchandising, stocking, and cleaning of store shelves, counter areas and floorsParticipate in the receiving of inventoryLearn and participate in all store operations and delivery dutiesFamiliarize yourself and take on increasing responsibility across all areas of McCormick Products, Processes and ProceduresDevelop an understanding of effective store management and ownership, including, but not limited to the sales process, inventory management, P&L review and personnel managementBuild relationships with different segment leaders throughout the organizationOther duties as assignedThe ideal candidate is ambitious, creative, personable, resourceful and hard-working — a leader adept at decision-making, problem-solving and multi-tasking.Bachelor or Associates degree, preferred1+ years of retail experience, preferredPrevious experience in paint or similar industry, preferredSpanish bi-lingual, preferredWillingness to relocate for promotional opportunitiesAbility to work effectively in a customer-centered environmentStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to motivate a diverse group of peopleDependability, flexibility and professional demeanorA self-motivated, engaged, team player with a positive attitudeMust have clean driving recordMust be able to retrieve material and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Must be able to distinguish the difference between colors in order to match and tint paint for customer ordersMust be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephoneMaintains high standards of personal ethics; is consistently honest and truthful in all situationsStrong reading, writing and communication skills, with ability to interpret information accuratelyMust be able to pass background checkMust be at least 18 years of age#J-18808-Ljbffr
