- Responsible for supervision of service center dispatchers and ensuring equitable systems are in place for the coverage of routes, field trip bidding, and route assignments. Additionally, the manager is responsible to ensure bus substitutions are entered for each route, the daily rollout is completed, and field trips are covered.
- Manages bus monitor and bus driver assignments, attendance, and overtime to ensure adequate transportation and district performance goals are met
- Oversees the smooth operations of all Special Education routes and collaborates with SPED supervisor and SPED routing manager
- Responsible for working with campus administration to ensure all student discipline referrals are processed timely, communicated to the appropriate individuals, and follow the student code of conduct.
- Acts as the lead contact at the service center between the routing teams to communicate discrepancies, ensuring all routes are efficient, timely, and effective.
- Lead, motivate and manage a staff of drivers, monitors, and dispatchers ensuring proper operational protocols are always followed.
- Responsible for ensuring that timely communication is sent out via the Parent Application and to campus personnel.
- Ensures that open communication is maintained with all stakeholders to resolve problems and implement solutions promptly.
- Ensures employee performance by conducting disciplinary actions, general investigations, addressing personnel matters, and documenting and investigating accidents according to district policy in a consistent, timely, and appropriate manner.
- Ensures Let's Talk tickets are reviewed promptly with proper follow up and recording.
- Coordinates and manages weekly and monthly student counts and ridership to ensure the 24-48reporting deadlines are achieved.
- Responsible for completing and submitting the required driver spot observations via the online platform, retrieving bus video footage, issuing constructive feedback, and ensuring bus drivers and monitors follow student management policies and procedures.
- Maintains all equipment and technology by ensuring that it is kept in good repair, properly inventoried and meets the needs of students and staff. Acts as the service center contact to communicate technology issues for repair and service.
- Responsible for distribution of keys, radios, and disseminates pertinent information to their direct reports.
- Analyze data and prepare reports to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency.
- Responsible for working with the service center director, administrative services team, and HCM to recruit new talent and host various job fairs throughout the year.
- Responsible for collaborating with the leadership team to identify and retain highly qualified
candidates. The role includes recruiting new talent, conducting candidate screening and
interviews, and attending job fairs throughout the year.
- Performs duties in the absence of the director.
- Act as a content specialist and facilitator for various professional development opportunities throughout the year
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
