Job Duties/Scope Of Work
Under direction of the director of cybersecurity and enterprise architecture Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architecture & Data Management Manager (EADM) to lead the Information Management Services EA and EDM function. The EAM will play a pivotal role in aligning technology infrastructure and processes with organizational business strategies, ensuring enterprise architecture advances operational efficiency, supports business goals, and fosters innovation in support of DOE Hanford Federal Office (HFO) critical missions.
Leadership & Team Management:
•Lead and manage the EA and EDM teams, promoting collaboration, technical excellence, and a mission-focused culture.
•Provide mentorship and guidance to IT professionals, business partners, and stakeholders, fostering continuous learning and improvement.
Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Enterprise Data Management (EDM):
•Plan, coordinate, and execute enterprise architecture functions for DOE HFO systems, networks, and assets.
•Direct the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide processes, risk management, and defensive capabilities.
•Keep senior management informed on current and projected business intelligence solutions and strategy.
•Maintain strong collaborative interface with Hanford site stakeholders.
•Communicating technical direction to subcontractor, monitoring subcontractor performance, milestones, deliverables/submittals and supporting invoice reviews upon request.
Compliance & Governance:
•Ensure adherence to federal directives, including NIST, DOE Orders, FISMA, and site-specific requirements.
•Establish and enforce governance processes to manage the architecture lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Stakeholder Engagement:
•Serve as a liaison with internal stakeholders, federal leadership, contractors, oversight bodies, and integrated project teams.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with business units, IT teams, and external partners to facilitate alignment and collaboration.
Strategic Planning & Architecture Roadmaps:
•Lead strategic planning initiatives and develop capability roadmaps to mature EA programs.
•Develop and maintain comprehensive enterprise architecture roadmaps supporting long-term organizational vision and strategic initiatives.
Technology Integration & Innovation:
•Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
•Guide the integration of new technologies and solutions into the existing architecture, ensuring seamless compatibility and minimal business disruption.
Process Optimization & Digital Transformation:
•Analyze and optimize business processes for greater efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced performance.
•Identify opportunities for process automation and digital transformation to support business agility and innovation.
Documentation & Communication:
•Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, including standards, guidelines, and reference models.
•Communicate architectural vision, strategies, and progress to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and workshops.
Program Management:
•Manage EA performance metrics, program documentation, and accountability measures.
•Support budgeting, resource allocation, and contract oversight requirements.
•Fulfill Control Account Manager (CAM) duties and ensure the successful deployment of EA programs and projects.
Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS in Management Information Systems (Business Administration), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field -OR- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years' experience in Enterprise Information Technology, Enterprise Architecture and/or Enterprise Data Management or related field
• Prior people management or leadership experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.
Desired Qualifications
•10 plus years of experience in IT enterprise system design and implementation
•4 years’ experience with cloud solutions and cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
•Advanced understanding of business processes, technology infrastructure, and industry best practices.
•Knowledge of federal security frameworks and regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and OMB memorandums.
•Lean Six Sigma experience or certification.
•Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (Business Administration), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
•Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar are preferred.

Grade 20: $131,888 - $166,263
Grade 21: $145,150 - $183,050
Grade 22: $162,863 - $214,288

A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. The salary range listed represents the full range of salary that may be offered.
This position may be required to complete a probationary period. Benefits for eligible employees will begin on day one.
