Job Summary: 

At LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc., the Manager - Accounting leads accounting operations within a manufacturing environment, overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial reporting, general ledger reconciliation, cash flow management, and cost accounting. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, while providing guidance on accounting practices, financial controls, and reporting procedures. The manager partners with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, reporting, and analysis, and provides insights to support business decisions and operational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies for financial transactions, reporting, cash flow management, and budget preparation.
  • Oversee preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and annual budgets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee general ledger reconciliation and month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy of financial data and compliance with GAAP/financial reporting standards.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including coordination and support of corporate tax filings.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting audit processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management on business performance, capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including financial reporting and accounting requirements.
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support month-end close, financial reporting deadlines, audits, and other business needs.

 

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective collaboration and cross-functional partnership skills.
