Manager, Advanced Analytics

Role Summary: CRICO is seeking an experienced analytics leader to serve as Manager, Advanced Analytics. This role is responsible for leading a high-performing team of data analysts and data scientists and overseeing a diverse portfolio of analytics initiatives that supports patient safety and insurance functions for CRICO and external Candello clients. The Manager will play a critical role in shaping and carrying out the Advanced Analytics strategy and roadmap. The Manager will combine strong people leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to help transform complex data into actionable insights and scalable analytics solutions. This position works closely with stakeholders across Patient Safety, Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Candello, Information Technology, and Executive Leadership to identify opportunities where analytics can drive measurable business value, improve decision-making, and generate new knowledge about healthcare risk and patient safety. Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and data scientists.Manage a portfolio of analytics projects, products, and research initiatives.Partner with the Vice President of Advanced Analytics to define and execute the department's strategic vision and roadmap.Oversee the design, development, and delivery of analyses, advanced analytical models, dashboards, and reports. Build strong partnerships across Patient Safety, Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Candello, Information Technology, and Executive Leadership.Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on data-informed decision-making.Promote best practices in analytics, visualization, artificial intelligence, and data storytelling.Support innovation and thought leadership through the effective use of CRICO and Candello data assets.Promote strong data governance, quality, stewardship, and compliance practices. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline. (Master's degree or higher in a related field preferred)Five (5) or more years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, healthcare analytics, or a related field.Three (3) or more years of experience leading analytics professionals and managing high-performing teams.Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder priorities.Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, quantitative methods, and data-driven problem solving.Proficiency with modern analytics platforms and tools.Experience in healthcare, patient safety, medical malpractice, insurance, risk management, or quality improvement preferredExperience working with healthcare claims, malpractice, patient safety, clinical quality, or other healthcare risk-related datasets preferredExperience applying machine learning, predictive analytics, or artificial intelligence techniques preferredExperience developing analytics products and self-service analytics solutions preferred Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills.Expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, and quantitative problem-solving.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing decision-making.Strong organizational, planning, and project management capabilities.Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when needed.Proficient in utilizing data analysis tools and methodologies to extract actionable insights, including the acquisition and management of dataProficiency extends to utilizing data to reinforce targeted messages tailored to specific audiencesCapable of presenting the results of analyses and statistical informationKnowledge of healthcare quality, patient safety, clinical operations, risk management, or medical malpractice analytics preferredExperience with data visualization and storytelling best practices preferredCuriosity, innovation, and a demonstrated ability to foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning preferred Specialized Certifications: N/A People Management: Directly manages staff of the Advanced Analytics Team and potentially temporary staff, interns, and consultants, with responsibility for all people management processes
