Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and in-depth technical accounting knowledge to buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence assistance to Fortune 1000 and middle market companies and private equity investors with a focus on financial services deals. Collaborate and coordinate on the approach of clients, KPMGs engagement teams, and third-party diligence providers throughout the transaction process. Analyze target company data to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks, which impact valuation and negotiation of the target company. Create and design tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, valuation model input assumptions, achievability of managements budget, and indebtedness considerations.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:

Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. required up to 10%.

Travel to various international locations required up to 5%.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience. Employer will accept a 3- or 4-year bachelors degree.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Working in a public accounting firm within an accounting, advisory, financial audit, or transactions team; Working with financial services companies interpreting financial statement and transaction-level data, generating insights and constructing solutions on quality of earnings, income statement and balance sheet analysis; Project management, including planning, organizing, and coordinating staff, clients, or partners towards the successful completion of a project; Applying U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards; Mergers and Acquisitions, and Transaction Services.

Telecommuting may be permitted within commutable distance from the office location, depending on business need.

SALARY: $144,400 - $219,100 per year
