Responsibilities:
This pharmacy manager-ambulatory is responsible for ensuring the delivery of competent and efficient patient-centered pharmacy services and drug delivery, and to provide leadership and management of medication use processes in the ambulatory environment. The pharmacy manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring performance improvement goals and any subsequent process changes that result. This individual is also responsible for administrative duties assigned by the pharmacy director to assist in the overall success of the pharmacy department. This leader works autonomously to manage pharmacy processes and ensure optimal delivery of care. With responsibility for the overall operational and clinical (if appropriate) management of their department(s), this leader facilitates the development and delivery of excellence in service practice by evaluating and coordinating the services delivered. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to direct the services appropriate for the patient/family population being served. Integrates the department's services with the hospital's primary functions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards of the pharmacy department.
- Provides effective administration and management of the retail pharmacy.
- Interfaces with external and internal customers to promote ambulatory pharmacy services to physicians, nurses, care managers and others including periodic consultation with practitioners in the field.
- Provides clinical pharmacy and dispensing services to all outpatients.
- Manages 340B compliance and ensures all applicable inventory controls. Provides oversight and management of ambulatory pharmacy quality management activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
- One year of pharmacy experience
- Bachelor Degree
- Pharmacist Must maintain unrestricted clinical licensure

- Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist
