The Manager Application Security serves as the primary architect, guardian, and ongoing administrator of Workday security for the organization. This role spans both the system implementation phase and long-term operational ownership post–go-live.
During implementation, this role is responsible for the design, configuration, testing, and validation of the Workday security framework. This includes ensuring appropriate access controls, segregation of duties, alignment with regulatory requirements, and adherence to organizational security standards. Following system go-live, the role transitions into the Workday Security Administrator, owning the full security lifecycle—managing user access, overseeing authentication policies, conducting audits, supporting auditors, maintaining governance documentation, and continuously evolving the security model to meet organizational needs.
This role works closely with internal subject matter experts across, HRIS, identity management, cybersecurity, IT operations, and business functional teams to maintain a secure and well-governed Workday environment.
