What You'll Do:
Responsible for the site operation at the customer's location; this includes driver, office, and customer related issues. Assists Transportation Manager to help create a sense of partnership between the customer and USX.
- Manages equipment utilization.
- Manages all aspects related to drivers.
- Manages office staff personnel.
- Provides on-time service.
- Assists Transportation Manager with the following:
- Customer shipping needs
- Accounting for all shipments via a weekly service report.
- Developing a sense of trust and integrity with the customer.
- Assuring all fleet maintenance programs are current on tractors and trailers.
- Documenting and communicating all service related issues.
- Analyzing volume figures to forecast surges in business.
- Reviewing all credit, collection, and aging reports to increase cash flow.
- Coordinating lot checks and review for stale trailers/
- Performs job performance evaluations and takes necessary actions to assure employees are working at capacity.
- Ensures customer service and on-time delivery are achieved.
- Participate in rotational off-site on-call duty (possible nights/weekends).
Performs any other duties assigned based on customer or business needs
