    General Statement of Job

    The Auxiliary Enterprise Manager provides leadership in the development and operation of auxiliary contract management as being the Liaison between the outsource vendors and campuses district wide. Manages, schedules and/or assures contractors are complying with all specifications of their current contract that maintains the professional integrity of South Texas College facilities.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:
    • Provide leadership in the development and management of auxiliary contracts for the Operations and Maintenance Department and Auxiliary Enterprises.
    • Solicit business opportunities and promote food services to increase participation, community engagement, and program visibility.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase the number of customers utilizing campus food services, increase revenue, and decrease costs related to food services operations.
    • Promote awareness of college food service programs, events, and offerings through outreach, marketing, and community engagement initiatives.
    • Build partnerships and coordinate promotional activities that enhance visibility and encourage greater participation in food service operations.
    • Evaluate the feasibility of, and if necessary, develop and oversee in-house food service operations in addition to outsourced vendor services to ensure quality, efficiency, and financial sustainability.
    • Monitor and analyze revenue streams, operating costs, and the financial performance of both outsourced vendor services and in-house food service operations to ensure fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
    • Track and manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and compliance requirements, as well as maintain records and oversee college fixed assets utilized in food service operations.
    • Oversee all auxiliary service contracts, commission statements, and payments, including, but not limited to, snack vendors, soda vendors, campus dining vendors, bookstore vendors, and all auxiliary service contracts for the Operations and Maintenance Department.
    • Oversee bookstore operations by serving as a liaison between the outsourced vendors and faculty and staff throughout the district.
    • Collaborate with managers in the day-to-day coordination and management of business operational activities.
    • Respond to inquiries and requests and resolve complaints.
    • Maintain clear and accurate operational documents and procedures for reference purposes.
    • Develop a key performance indicator program for service level agreements.
    • Participate in the department's effort to offer clear policies and procedures.
    • Serve as the primary contact for campus dining vendors regarding questions, concerns and notifications of college closures.
    • Conduct cafeteria inventory control (South Texas College Cafeteria Asset Inventory Control) for both purple and silver tagged assets, including Portable 20A & 20B.
    • Schedule bi-monthly meetings with campus dining vendors and the Purchasing Department to discuss any questions or concerns, upcoming holidays, and adjustments to hours of operation.
