The Manager, Brand Marketing Strategy is responsible for supporting the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that strengthen the JD brand, increase consumer consideration, and drive sustainable business growth across North America.
This role serves as a key partner across Buying, Brand Strategy & Creative, Merchandising, Retail Marketing, Digital Marketing, Loyalty, and Brand Partners to bring the JD brand to life through compelling consumer experiences, storytelling, and seasonal marketing programs. The ideal candidate is passionate about brand building, highly collaborative, and skilled at translating business priorities into impactful consumer-facing initiatives.

Brand Strategy & Growth
Support the development and execution of marketing strategies that strengthen JD's brand positioning, increase consumer relevance, and drive long-term brand equity.
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities, consumer trends, and cultural moments that enhance JD's position as the leading destination for sport-inspired fashion and youth culture.
Integrated Campaign Development
Lead the planning and execution of seasonal and year-round brand marketing programs that connect with consumers across digital, social, retail, media, and experiential channels.
Ensure campaigns are aligned to brand objectives, deliver a consistent consumer experience, and support both brand and commercial goals.
Go-To-Market Leadership
Coordinate cross-functional go-to-market plans that bring key brand, category, and partner initiatives to market effectively.
Drive alignment across Buying, Creative, Digital, Retail, and Merchandising teams to ensure marketing programs support strategic business priorities while reinforcing the JD brand.
Brand Partner Marketing
Support the development and execution of strategic marketing programs with key brand partners that elevate JD's market position and create differentiated consumer experiences.
Manage co-op marketing initiatives, campaign execution, and partner relationships to maximize brand impact and mutual growth opportunities.
Consumer & Loyalty Engagement
Partner with the Loyalty team to develop marketing initiatives that deepen consumer engagement, strengthen brand affinity, and create meaningful member experiences.
Utilize consumer insights and performance data to identify opportunities that increase customer retention, acquisition, and lifetime value.
Brand Performance & Insights
Monitor brand health, consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
Develop campaign recaps and performance analyses that evaluate impact against key brand metrics, including awareness, consideration, acquisition, engagement, and market share.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Act as a key connector across the organization, ensuring alignment and collaboration throughout the planning and execution process.
Influence stakeholders, drive accountability, and foster strong working relationships that enable successful delivery of JD's brand and business objectives.
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience required, with Business, Marketing, Communication. Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience required in Marketing. A solid understanding of retail, media and digital trends (cross-platform narratives, social media, experiential marketing, and mobile application) preferred. Experience in multi-vendor retailing is a plus.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Excellent computer skills, including basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Google G Suite. High degree of internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital and media trends.
