POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordination and oversight of bus service planning activities and long-range guidelines for the Authority. This includes concept development, data collection and analysis, public participation, interagency coordination, coordination of service revision customer information, coordination with other transit agencies through CoMET and IBBG and service change follow-up monitoring. The tasks are employed to design and implement route path, service and operational changes to promote efficiency, maximize new market opportunities, and improve customer and operations safety. The goal is to allocate NYC Transit services efficiently and effectively, and to respond quickly to changing market conditions, land use developments and traffic conditions.
