Job SummaryThe Manager, Data Analytics DHMP leads the operational analytics function for Denver Health Medical Plan, transforming clinical and operational data into insights that improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and support regulatory compliance. This role oversees a team of analysts, manages healthcare data systems, and partners with clinical and operational leaders to drive data informed decision making.The manager will work across departments to ensure the analytics team delivers reports that transform data into actionable insights, enabling the organization to make informed business decisions based on key performance indicators.Essential Functions:
- Lead and mentor a team of healthcare data analysts; manage project pipelines and ensure high quality deliverables. (10%)
- Develop standard work to ensure consistent output from the team that includes intake through to delivery our final products to the leadership team. Develop a standard process for capturing requirements, defining goals, tracking status and reporting results of analytic initiatives to key stakeholders. (10%)
- Develop an analytics roadmap aligned with organizational goals such as quality improvement, patient safety, and operational efficiency. Oversee execution of Data Analytics Strategic Plan focused on long-term strategy balanced with current data analysis projects. (10%)
- Partner with Information Management technical team and other owners of potential data sources to drive the future data sources requirement, in support of data requirements for analytic initiatives. (5%)
- Build dashboards and reports for clinical quality metrics, operational KPIs, and executive decision making. (10%)
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand the issues in defining analytic requirements and provide guidance and suggestions for the team to best meet their needs. (10%)
- Translate business requirements into an approach to query, organize, and analyze data to meet the business objectives (10%)
- Partner with clinical leadership, quality teams, finance, IT, and operations to identify needs and deliver actionable insights. (10%)
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS reporting requirements, HEDIS, UDS, and other healthcare regulatory frameworks. (5%)
- Monitor data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across systems; lead initiatives to resolve data quality issues. (5%)
- Establish and maintain data governance standards, ensuring consistent definitions, documentation, and usage of organizational data.

- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and scalability in reporting and analytics processes (5%)
- Support implementation of best practices in quality measurements and population health analytics (5%)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree Healthcare, Analytics, Information Systems, Business required
Work Experience:
- 7-9 years data analysis experience required
- And -
- 1-3 years leadership or supervisory experience required
- And -
- 1-3 years experience leading cross functional initiatives through prioritization, overall coordination, development, and status-reporting of analytical projects.required

- Strong business acumen, an ability to quickly understand business processes and operational concepts, knowledge of data analysis methodologies with the ability to apply them in an efficient manner to meet business requirements.

- Ability to persuasively present ideas and results.
- Ability to create financial and statistical analysis, models, or reports to summarize results and projections.
- Managed Care operations and Healthcare Analytics experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Visio)
- Data query ability with MS SQL Server
- Extensive experience using Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) preferred
- Passion for improving analytics reporting and improved outcomes
- Ability to provide data insights quickly through the proper visualization
