The Opportunity
Our Cardiac Rhythm Management Business Unit has an opportunity for a Manager, BHR role supporting our Global Operations & Quality organizations across several US-based Manufacturing Sites. The role will be based out of Sylmar, CA. This is an on-site role requiring occasional travel.
What You’ll Work On
Partners with site Operations and Quality leadership teams to drive business objectives and deliver strong results.
Builds trust-based, collaborative, sustainable relationships with site and senior leaders and their teams. Drives the implementation of the HR strategy within assigned sites in support of short and long-term business goals.
Partners with HR leadership and business leaders on workforce planning, including assessing short-term and long-term resource needs, identifying talent gaps within the organization, helping to diagnose workforce engagement gaps and develop solutions, and working with Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to develop strategies to address.
Provides consultative guidance and coaching to managers and employees on human resources and business-related matters, including policies, process, and Abbott talent philosophy, organizational priorities, and guidance to ensure compliance with HR Employment Law and Employee Relations matters.
Collaborates closely with business leaders to define and implement business-specific programs to ensure a culture of high performance and ethics, high engagement and enablement, and overall org effectiveness.
Gathers and analyzes workgroup data analysis for leaders and provides recommendations for improvement.
Identifies gaps within management teams and facilitates training and team development sessions as needed to ensure development with front-line managers.
Facilitates the Human Resources (HR) needs around hiring, management, training, compensation, and benefits aligned with best practices partnering with our CoEs.
Opportunity to engage in Division BHR programs and initiatives to drive self-development and build internal networks.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
6+ years Human Resources Experience with a heavy focus on team development and coaching leaders
Demonstrated success as HR Partner in areas of Engagement, Employee Relations, Compensation, Learning & Development, and Talent Management.
Demonstrated experience in building strong client relations.
Travel approximately 20%.
Previous Manufacturing, Operations, or Quality support experience preferred.

The base pay for this position is
$114,000.00 – $228,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
