The Manager, Commercial Applications is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to optimize business processes and deliver scalable enterprise commercial platforms, including websites, eCommerce, Digital Experience platforms, integrated applications, and analytics solutions. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, partnering with business and IT stakeholders to drive operational efficiency, global process standardization, and technology-enabled business transformation.
Leveraging Agile methodologies and product-based delivery practices, the Manager will define requirements, lead system implementations, support business capabilities, and ensure successful adoption of enterprise commercial applications across global teams.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Business TransformationPartner with business and IT leadership to develop and execute strategies that enhance commercial operations and customer engagement.
Support the development and execution of Digital Commerce and Customer Experience application strategies and multi-year technology roadmaps.
Identify opportunities for business process standardization, application rationalization, and cost optimization.
Evaluate industry trends and recommend improvements to enterprise platforms, tools, and processes.
Promote adoption of standardized business processes, application functionality, and data governance aligned with enterprise IT standards.
Lead cross-functional teams delivering enhancements, upgrades, and implementations across commercial application platforms.
Drive Agile delivery practices, including backlog management, sprint planning, and release management.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct gap analyses, and design scalable enterprise solutions.
Configure and implement application capabilities aligned with business requirements and enterprise architecture.
Lead issue resolution, root cause analysis, and production support in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
Develop and manage project plans to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure application quality, integrity, and usability.
Coordinate system documentation, knowledge transfer, user training, and change adoption activities.
Ensure reliable global production support for enterprise commercial applications.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application specialists.
Establish performance objectives, provide coaching, and support employee development.
Manage team resources and annual operating budgets.
Oversee vendor relationships and coordinate internal and external resource planning.
Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related field.
MBA or Master's degree preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience supporting Commercial Applications, including Digital Experience Platforms, eCommerce, websites, or related enterprise solutions.
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across business and IT organizations.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance business objectives and technical requirements.
Ability to travel approximately 20% (domestic and international).
Experience with Digital Experience Platforms (DXP), including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
Experience implementing enterprise eCommerce platforms.
Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and digital marketing technologies.
Experience integrating commercial applications with ERP systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud ERP.
Functional knowledge of Order Management, Customer Service, Digital Commerce, Product Information Management (PIM), and Online Payments.
Understanding of APIs, enterprise integrations, data structures, and integration patterns.
Experience working with globally distributed and cross-cultural teams.
Experience supporting manufacturing or distribution environments.
