The Manager, Commercial Sales is responsible for increasing sales and maintaining gross margin profitability for assigned product lines, as set by Leadership and in line with Company goals.

This position will serve our Design Air Division, located in West Allis, WI.

  • Partner with purchasing team to pursue commercial products that enhance our current offering (Mfg. Rep Products)
  • Assist the Marketing team with the creation of the annual marketing calendar when needed
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Minimum 5 years related HVAC experience is required
  • Strong commercial sales focus preferred, but not required
  • Degree in business management and/or sales preferred
  • A proven successful sales history and background
  • Strong knowledge of sales and marketing concepts and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate
  • Good listener and strong communicator via verbal and written conversations
  • Well organized and represent the company in a professional manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective multi-tasking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to think critically and logically under pressure

  • Develop, coordinate, communicate, implement and update marketing plans for assigned product lines

  • Identify market share gaps in the market and initiate strategy to increase customer base

  • Manage commercial quoting team which includes:

  • Prioritize projects to quote

  • Review quotes for accuracy

  • Assist commercial quoting team in quoting when needed

  • Act as a partner with the Territory Managers in sales to targeted accounts which includes pricing and joint sales calls

  • Coordinate with Sales Director to communicate the value of our offerings to our sales team

  • Develop a strong relationship with key customers purchasing assigned product lines to ensure retention and growth

  • Ensure customer support teams are knowledgeable on segment application and able to provide value and support

  • Assist with customer specific pricing as needed

  • Identify needed training and assist the Inside Sales Manager on coordinating

  • Develop and enhance a relationship with key suppliers that will provide a mutual value

  • Assist Territory Managers with setting margins for pricing

  • Act as a partner with the Territory Managers in sales to targeted accounts which includes pricing and joint sales calls

  • Work with Branch and Operations Manager on logistics for projects

  • Discuss developing and maintaining a plan with Leadership to go after new commercial business

  • Develop, coordinate, communicate, implement and update marketing plans for assigned product lines

  • Identify market share gaps in the market and initiate strategy to increase customer base
