SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT
Under the supervision of the executive director of marketing and community relations, this position is responsible for managing district communications, including the district website and social media platforms; maintaining a continuous flow of information to the community and news media; providing answers to public inquiries and participating in community activities. This position supervises the communications coordinator in implementing communications related to the district's strategic plan and promotion of positive school and community relations. This position includes some general office management and special event planning.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office environment. Required to travel to various school and community sites. Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms; listen carefully while filtering out normal office noise; see clearly; sit, stand, walk, twist, bend, reach, push, and pull with normal effort; lift 25 pounds. Prolonged exposure to video terminal display, as well as exposure to normal office equipment and their chemicals, such as copier, fax machine, telephone, etc. Required to attend after-hours meetings and events, including weekend work as necessary. Required to represent the District on potentially sensitive and controversial matters. Required to occasionally deal with distraught, angry or hostile individuals. Required to travel to various sites.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW28A.400.303. (NOTE: All associated background check fees are the employee's responsibility.) The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.
