The Manager, Corporate Communications, leads the development and execution of communication strategies that strengthen employee engagement, support business transformation, and ensure a consistent corporate narrative across internal and external audiences. Supporting a global company of approximately 1,000 employees, this role partners across Marketing, Change Management, Human Resources, Executive Leadership, and business teams to develop communication strategies that advance business priorities, executive visibility, organizational change, culture, and corporate reputation. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, advisor, and channel owner who can translate complex topics into compelling internal and external communications and effective employee experiences across multiple channels, including the company intranet, executive communications, and external corporate communications.

Required Skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a corporate communications strategy aligned with business priorities, organizational goals, company culture, and brand strategy, ensuring consistency across internal and external audiences.
  • Create annual and quarterly communication plans, editorial calendars, and messaging roadmaps to support enterprise initiatives, leadership priorities, and transformation efforts.
  • Assess employee communication needs in a dynamic environment and adjust channels, messaging cadence, and communication approaches to improve clarity, transparency, and engagement.
  • Establish communication governance, rhythms, and decision-making processes to ensure timely, consistent messaging across functions, regions, and leadership levels.

Content Development & Channel Management

  • Write, edit, and publish clear, engaging communications for employees worldwide, including company updates, leadership messages, announcements, FAQs, and talking points.
  • Own the strategy, design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of the company's internal intranet, ensuring it serves as a dynamic, user-friendly, and trusted source of information for employees globally.
  • Manage intranet content architecture, page design, publishing standards, governance, and content lifecycle processes to keep information current, accessible, and aligned with company priorities.
  • Manage and optimize key internal communication channels such as company-wide email, intranet content, town halls, leader toolkits, and other employee communication platforms.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to build, launch, and maintain intranet pages and campaign content that support enterprise initiatives, employee resources, and change communications.
  • Ensure messaging is consistent across employee and external audiences while reflecting the company's brand, values, and business priorities.
  • Support executive communications by drafting presentations, scripts, and written updates for senior leaders.

Change & Transformation Communications

  • Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to create communication plans for organizational change, business transformation, system implementations, restructuring efforts, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Translate complex business updates into employee-friendly messaging that supports understanding, readiness, trust, and adoption.
  • Develop change-related communications including milestone updates, readiness messages, FAQs, manager toolkits, leadership talking points, and stakeholder messaging.
  • Provide communication counsel to project teams and leaders to help anticipate employee questions, address uncertainty, and support successful change outcomes.
  • Help create communication approaches that reinforce transparency, consistency, and connection during times of transition and evolving business priorities.

Strategic Program Communications

  • Lead or support communication planning for major enterprise initiatives, including business transformations, operational changes, technology rollouts, employee experience programs, and organizational redesign efforts.
  • Collaborate with program sponsors, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to ensure communications are timely, accurate, sequenced appropriately, and aligned across audiences.
  • Coordinate communication timelines, deliverables, and channel strategies to support successful rollout, employee understanding, and sustained adoption.
  • Use the intranet and other communication platforms to create integrated campaign experiences that support enterprise programs and reinforce key messages over time.

External & Corporate Communications

  • Develop and execute communication plans that support corporate announcements, company milestones, partnerships, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Draft and edit press releases, executive messaging, thought leadership content, corporate announcements, award submissions, and other external communications.
  • Support executive visibility through speeches, presentations, bylined articles, social content, and speaking opportunities.
  • Maintain corporate messaging frameworks, key message documents, and communication standards to ensure consistency across audiences and channels.
  • Coordinate communications across employees, customer, partner, and industry audiences when initiatives require integrated messaging.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with business leaders to ensure internal communications are aligned with company brand and external messaging where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with Human Resources, senior leadership, and functional teams to unify messaging and support business priorities.
  • Advise leaders on communication approach, audience considerations, and message effectiveness for high-impact announcements and ongoing initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across regions and functions to identify communication needs and opportunities for greater employee connection.
  • Serve as a steward of the company''s corporate narrative, maintaining messaging frameworks and communication standards that ensure consistency across employee, customer, partner, and public communications.

Execution, Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage communication calendars, project timelines, approvals, and production schedules to deliver high-quality communications on time.
  • Measure the effectiveness of internal and external communications through engagement metrics, stakeholder feedback, media coverage, channel performance, and platform analytics, using insights to continuously improve future communications.
  • Monitor intranet usage, content performance, and employee experience trends to recommend enhancements in design, navigation, governance, and content effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new formats, tools, and approaches that improve employee reach, understanding, and engagement in a changing environment.

Required Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, public relations or a related field, ideally within a global organization.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and leadership levels.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting organizations through significant change, transformation, restructuring, or enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Experience owning or managing an intranet or comparable digital employee communication platform, including content governance, page design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Experience developing executive communications, corporate announcements, press releases, or thought leadership content.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across functions, regions, and levels of leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, internal communication platforms, and digital content management practices.
