Manager, Corporate Engagement, Medina County
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Manager, Corporate Engagement, Medina County will engage and build relationships with investors, partners, advocates, and volunteers to bring awareness to the work of UWSM and increase campaign revenue for concentrated accounts. Maintain and cultivate existing investors’ relationships while generating new individual relationships and corporate partnerships with a focus on new business development in Medina County.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Corporate Account Management: Increase campaign involvement and revenue by developing strategic plans and objectives, which align with companies’ needs and corporate social responsibility goals. Research and communicate with investors to learn more about them as donors and their interests to add value to campaigns while leveraging best practice strategies of UWSM to volunteer, advocate, and give. Deliver supplies, attend events and monitor progress and follow up throughout duration of campaign. Research accounts to stay up to date on current status of business/organization and employment.
- Relationship Building: Builds relationships with multiple levels of investors, advocates, donors and volunteers (minimum of 8 per week). Delivers effective individual and group presentations which are powerful and impactful to drive support of UWSM.
- New Business Development: Consistently sets meetings (minimum of 8 per week) with corporations and new donors/prospects within the portfolio to generate additional revenue and engagement with UWSM.
- Reporting: Consistently provide quality projections and reports for campaigns; document communications and follow up in CRM Database (StratusLive).
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Community Engagement: Support UWSM's Engagement Events by recruiting volunteers from assigned portfolio. Assist in set-up and execution of Engagement events and volunteer opportunities, as needed.
- UWSM Engagement: Participation and support in assigned engagement calendar events, marketing events, external events in support of affiliated organizations and companies, and related preparatory meetings.
- All event and volunteer opportunity job functions include an expectation of the individual to actively engage and network with external volunteers and attendees, and always showcase UWSM’s values and mission.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Proficient in fundraising or sales, learned in studies for a Bachelor’s degree or throughout an accomplished career.
- Suitable experience in relationship building with demonstrated success and accomplishment throughout career required.
- Competent in MS Office products.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: - Position is primarily a normal office setting in Medina County office, requiring long periods of sedentary work at a desk and computer.
- Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office utilizing stairs or elevator.
- Must be able to sit, stand, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop.
- Team lifting of up to 80 pounds for engagement events scheduled throughout the year.
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background check, drug and alcohol screen.
- Must be willing to work non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours on occasion.
- After-hours event attendance occasionally.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with ability to pass annual motor vehicle report check in compliance with corporate insurance requirements.
- Access to reliable insured automobile to be used for work-related travel in Summit & Medina county areas.
- 50% local travel. Travel to Akron office weekly for Team Meetings, and whenever additional Akron in-office presence is needed.
- Ability to pass pre-employment credit history check.
