The manager leads a team of cost accountants, partners with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and FP&A, and provides strategic insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability.ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the cost accounting team, fostering high performance, professional growth, and accountability.Establish and maintain cost accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management.Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory.Provide cost analysis for pricing decisions and margin improvement strategies.Partner with Operations and Procurement teams to identify cost‑saving opportunities.Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting to align cost data with financial statements.Manage cost accounting aspects of external audits.Drive enhancements in ERP (NetSuite) and cost accounting processes for better accuracy and efficiency.Implement best practices for cost tracking and analysis.Provide cost analysis for new product introductions, capital projects, and purchasing decisions.Maintain accurate cost data for scenario planning and contingency analysis.Other duties as required.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in cost accounting leadership.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a cost accounting team.Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures and ERP systems (NetSuite required).Experience designing and maintaining cost accounting internal controls.Experience developing pricing support models and margin analysis frameworks.Proficiency in scenario planning and contingency cost modeling.Experience leading ERP enhancements or implementations related to cost accounting modules.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas).Strong analytical skills, ability to diagnose complex cost problems and communicate findings.Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.Extensive cross‑functional collaboration experience with Operations, Demand Planning, Procurement, and FP&A.Positive, collaborative leadership style, with a commitment to inclusivity and employee development.Experience with GAAP compliance and external audit processes.Compensation$125,000 – $135,000 USD annually.Benefits & Perks20 accrued vacation days per year.40 hours of paid sick leave annually.3 paid mental health days per year.9 paid holidays annually.Pet insurance (Paws & Claws coverage).Comprehensive life insurance, AD&D, and long‑term disability coverage.Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, plus Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).Employee Assistance Program for confidential support.Accident and critical illness plans for additional protection.Employee 401(k) plan with company match.Remote‑first employment with monthly utility allowance for Wi‑Fi and phone use.Generous employee discount on company products.Wellness challenges and community volunteer opportunities.Paid parental leave and recognition initiatives.Certified Great Place to Work designation.Equal Employment OpportunityAs set forth in MANSCAPED's Equal Employment Opportunity policy, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected group status under any applicable law.
