The Originations team within Banking and Financial Services team is responsible for setting and maintaining lending policies for home loans and credit cards. We work closely across personal banking, risk, compliance, operations, and product teams to support responsible lending and strong customer outcomes.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will contribute to projects that support and improve credit card and home loan originations, with a strong focus on ensuring credit assessment systems operate effectively and identifying opportunities to enhance them. You will build a solid understanding of risk data, systems and key metrics, analysing trends and movements to provide clear insights into the origination risk profile. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will help develop, enhance and implement credit policy settings and support the delivery of changes to home loan and credit card lending. You will also share your expertise by providing advice, guidance and coaching to colleagues, helping to build capability and strengthen overall risk outcomes.

What you offer

• A degree qualification, ideally in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics, economics or commerce-related discipline, though this is not essential
• At least three years' experience in a risk-related role, preferably involving credit within the financial services sector
• Strong data analysis skills, with experience using analytical tools and an interest in using artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity
• The ability to understand trends in risk data, investigate insights, and explain findings clearly to a range of stakeholders
• A proactive, curious mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
