Hybrid in Sacramento – 3 days in office / 2 remote
Core duties and responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor Data Engineers and Data Analysts
- Drive Agile/Scrum delivery including sprint planning and backlog prioritization
- Design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based data platforms
- Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines, semantic models, and reporting solutions
- Establish standards for data governance, testing, deployment, and security
- Oversee production operations, monitoring, and incident response
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and AI-driven solutions
Required skills and qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or enterprise analytics delivery
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and driving successful delivery outcomes
- Strong SQL expertise and deep hands-on experience with modern data architectures
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Fabric required, including hands-on experience with Fabric lakehouses, warehouses, data pipelines, semantic models, OneLake, and Power BI integration
- Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale analytics solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, with preference for Azure-native data technologies
- Strong understanding of ELT/ETL development, data modeling, governance, and scalable analytics frameworks
- Python experience preferred
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Passion for data quality, governance, AI-enabled analytics, and modern scalable data platforms
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is from $160K to $195K, depending on experience.
