Manager Design Engineering

As our Design Engineering Manager, you will lead a high-performing engineering team while driving product innovation, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement. What Success Looks Like:

• Building and developing a high-performing engineering team that is engaged, accountable, and focused on delivering results.
• Driving new product development projects from concept through launch while meeting quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
• Partnering effectively with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Product Management to solve challenges and support business growth.
• Leading a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, implementing sustainable solutions, and using data to drive decisions.
• Delivering engineering projects on time and within budget while effectively managing priorities and resources.
• Building strong relationships across the organization by communicating effectively, influencing stakeholders, and earning trust.
• Supporting strategic initiatives that position the Bilco brand for long-term growth and innovation.
• Travel to other Quanex locations will be required as needed.

Your Credentials:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Professional Engineer Credential Preferred
• Experience with metal fabrication including tooling and process equipment design
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and building code standards necessary
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience; experience managing remote team members a plus

Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 annually, with bonus potential. Starting salary varies based on your experience.
