Walmart is seeking a Manager, Digital Media – Social Media Strategy, who will lead the strategy, planning, and day-to-day execution of social media across VIZIO and WatchFree+. This role is responsible for developing engaging social content, managing agency and cross-functional partnerships, and driving measurable growth across social platforms (Meta, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and more). The ideal candidate is equally comfortable thinking strategically and executing tactically, with experience managing content calendars, publishing, reporting, agency relationships, and creative development in a fast-paced environment.About the teamThe VIZIO Digital Marketing Team acts as a centralized hub driving strategy and execution for VIZIO and WatchFree+ across multiple consumer marketing channels, including social media, paid media, retail, email/CRM, and events. Collaborating closely with creative, analytics, media, product, and retail partners, the team combines strategic insight with hands-on execution to deliver integrated marketing programs that enhance brand awareness, boost consumer engagement, and support business growth. What you'll do...
- Lead the strategy and execution of organic social media across VIZIO and WatchFree+ social channels.
- Own social content calendars, ensuring a consistent brand presence and timely execution of marketing priorities.
- Manage social agency partners, including briefing, content approvals, deliverables, and performance expectations.
- Develop reporting frameworks and analyze performance across channels, providing actionable recommendations aligned with business KPIs.
- Maintain social governance, platform best practices, approval workflows, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure campaign delivery meets strategic goals.
- Partner closely with Walmart Brand Social team to align priorities, governance, and process.
- Guide content agency responsible for creating, editing, publishing, and optimizing platform-specific, audience-focused content across social channels.
What you'll bring- Proven expertise managing social media strategies for consumer-facing brands, with experience within entertainment, media, technology, retail, or related industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, emerging trends, audience behaviors, and platform-specific best practices, with the ability to translate insights into impactful content and channel strategies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills with a highly organized, detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and technology partners.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to process improvement and adherence to digital marketing workflows and systems.
