Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Manager, Dispatch As a Manager, Dispatcher you will be responsible for providing oversight and guidance to the Supervisor, Dispatch role and will partner with site leaders to ensure customers are provided with accurate and timely service. Additionally, this role will provide support to localized 10-Day operations and plays a critical role in maintaining safety, compliance and service quality.
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Oversees Supervisor, Dispatch role and provides guidance as needed to ensure customers are serviced on time
- Partners with site leaders to ensure Dispatch team activities align with facility or service center objectives
- Provides support to localized 10-Day; maintains records, documentation and reporting as required for operations
- Supports the coordination of transportation activities between service centers to maximize Arcwood assets
- Monitors real-time dispatch operations and responds to delays, incidents or emergency situations
- Supports audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and operational performance
- Provides supervision to direct reports and maintains the ability to effectively manage issues that arise while team members are away from home or the terminal
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Education
- High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation (required)
- 2+ years of experience in the hazardous waste, environmental services or other highly regulated industries (preferred)
