Manager-ECMO Program
Job Summary:
Accountable to provide oversight for the operational and administrative activities of the ECMO department. Responsible for day-to-day staffing and operations while maintaining fiscal accountability. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, monitoring, and improving the quality of services with the goal of optimal patient outcomes. Demonstrates clinical expertise for the provision of safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate care to patients of all ages. Plans, coordinates, and provides education to ECMO department and medical care providers. Works interdependently with and also independently of the team.
Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care or Nursing. Minimum of three (3) years of ECMO experience, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required:
Respiratory Care Practitioner - MSDH - Mississippi Dept of Health or valid RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
If Respiratory Therapist, Certification for National Board of Respiratory Care (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Possesses comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures and tests. Demonstrates the ability to organize and lead meetings, as well as effectively present to groups. Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data, with a proven capacity to implement organizational change.
