Job Description
Team Summary
The FX Trading team manages all FX activity across Visa. The team manages all currency risk and pricing across the different entities and business lines, and our associated hedging activities that underpin our cross border business.
The team acts as financial market SMEs, working alongside Product, Technology and Commercialization to structure and bring to market new products whilst protecting Visa from financial risk
What an eFX Trader does at Visa:
Visa is engaged in a multi-year FX investment cycle and this role will be responsible for providing technical expertise, supporting operational implementation delivery and covering the day-to-day operations of the eFX (electronic FX) trading business.
The eFX Trader will be managing FX risk and liquidity across Visa, actively reviewing client performance and using analytics to improve business performance in order support the growth of the Visa cross border business.
The core responsibilities of this role involve both managing market risk as part of BAU as well as support on-going FX infrastructure work across Visa:
This role will report to the Global Head of FX Trading and act as a leader as we build out a specialist trading function in Singapore, supporting regional analytics and reporting, as well as representing Trading in local business discussions.

This is a hybrid position to be located in our Foster City, CA office location. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
5+ years' experience in an FX role. This can be within trading, sales or product
To have worked in either the buy side (Asset Manager, Hedge Fund or Corporate), sell side (Bank or broker) or a vendor (FX technology platform)
Entrepreneurial, with a curiosity and hunger to learn about the FX market and trading
An ability to apply quantitative methods to eFX pricing and risk management. In addition, the ability to use data science to make observations and identify patterns where relevant
Knowledge and understanding of payment rails, ecosystem and infrastructure
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive / business-building aptitude
Ability to conceptualize solutions, to deliver and execute on them
A pragmatic approach to apply prioritization whilst still thinking creatively on project work
A team player who can collaborate and communicate with diverse stakeholders

The estimated salary range for this position is $129,200.00 to $ 206,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
