At LCRA, we are currently seeking a highly motivated engineering manager to oversee our plant engineering team. As a Plant Engineering Manager, you’re on the front lines of the explosive growth across Central Texas and ever changing landscape of power delivery!
LCRA’s main offices are in Austin, TX with generation plants spanning from the Texas hill country to Central Texas among beautiful lakes, hills, and trees. With this position you would have the opportunity to work with a diversity of generation technology which include combined cycle, reciprocating engines, aeroderivative, coal and gas Rankine cycle plants, and hydro plants. How You’ll Contribute:
- Lead a team of multi-discipline engineers across our generation facilities.
- Ensure efficient work flows and oversee engineering projects for timing and budget.
- Create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures to ensure generation reliability.
- Collaborate and manage expectations with internal clients for team deliverables.
- Develop team members and identify training opportunities for staff growth.
How You’re Qualified:
- Twelve years of experience in engineering including experience providing leadership in engineering or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in math, computer science, engineering, or related field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- For Water Services, requires a Professional Engineer license in the State of Texas
- Driver's license
