About the Role
 
We are seeking a Manager, Engineering Services – Project Manager to join our team at our Ontario, CA. As a Manager, Engineering Services – Project Manager you will be accountable for leading capital engineering projects from concept through commissioning while driving reliability improvements and supporting new product development. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while enhancing operational performance.
This role requires you to be onsite in LA four days per week, giving you hands-on collaboration with the team and daily exposure to the pulse of the business.
 
Compensation
 
Salary Range: $109,000 – $135,000
 
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)
  • Lead end-to-end project execution from business case development through commissioning and handover
  • Manage capital project budgets, schedules, and reporting to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and procurement of equipment and services
  • Develop and present capital expenditure requests (CERs) to secure funding approvals
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, including Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Drive continuous improvement through standardized project management tools and best practices
  • Provide engineering expertise to resolve equipment reliability issues and improve plant performance
 
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline)
  • 7–10 years of experience in reliability engineering and/or project management within the food manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience managing capital projects from feasibility through start-up and validation
  • Strong knowledge of asset care, maintenance systems, and manufacturing environments
  • Understanding of safety, food safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Demonstrated planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
 
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • Experience supporting new product development and commercialization in food manufacturing
  • Background working in cross-functional, multi-site environments
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and tools
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Experience evaluating equipment performance and vendor effectiveness
