Manager-Facilities&Compliance

Salary Range: $112,000 - $139,000/year
Location: Paramount, California

Summary:

The Manager – Facilities and Compliance is responsible for leading facility operations, infrastructure integrity, and plant compliance programs to ensure a safe, reliable, and compliant operating environment. Reporting to the VP of Quality Assurance & Compliance, this role oversees building and grounds maintenance, and compliance execution across the site, ensuring alignment with regulatory, insurance, and corporate standards.

This position partners closely with Quality, Safety, Engineering, and Operations leadership to implement compliance programs, manage risk, support audit readiness, and maintain effective systems and controls. The Manager serves as a key liaison between subject matter experts and operational teams, driving accountability, visibility, and continuous improvement in facility performance and compliance outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

Facilities / Building & Grounds

• Provides overall leadership and accountability for internal and external building maintenance and repair programs, including pest control, HVAC systems, lighting, doors and locks, roofing, cleaning, and janitorial services.
• Oversee all aspects of grounds management, including parking lot maintenance, access controls and fencing, landscaping, irrigation systems, fire hydrants, and utility usage tracking.
• Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of all building and grounds capital projects from concept development through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manages proactive communication across the organization regarding facility-related projects, events, and conditions that may impact normal business operations.
• Develops and executes project implementation plans for facility and grounds changes, additions, upgrades, and renovations, aligning with operational and business needs.

Plant Compliance 

• Ensures execution and sustainability of organizational compliance programs established by subject matter experts, maintaining alignment with regulatory, insurance, and corporate requirements.
• Establishes, maintains, and continuously improves the organization’s compliance management system, including calendars, dashboards, tracking tools, and checklists; ensures process owners are accountable for timely completion.
• Partners with subject matter experts to develop, document, and enforce effective processes, controls, and corrective actions to address compliance requirements.
• Leads preparation for and oversight of internal and external audits, including WM Casualty insurance audits (Property, Machinery & Boiler, and Business Interruption).
• Identifies potential compliance risks and collaborates with leadership and subject matter experts to proactively mitigate exposure.
• Maintains accurate and auditable records of compliance activities, incidents, and corrective actions, and prepares clear, concise reports for executive leadership review.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership and track record of achieving results through the development and execution of facility strategies and plans.

• Proven negotiation skills with external partners and business contacts.

• Strong communication & organizational skills across departments and organizational levels.

• Ability to multitask and provide results in a timely manner

• Knowledge of governmental permitting, environmental & safety requirements.

• Computer skills (word, outlook, excel, power point, project manager)

• Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience

• 5 years of forging industry knowledge
