What you'll do
Lead day-to-day execution of accounting advisory and financial reporting engagements across a portfolio of middle-market and PE-backed clients
Prepare and review technical accounting memos, whitepapers, and position papers on topics including revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), business combinations (ASC 805), and debt/equity classification
Support clients through audit readiness, restatements, and financial close process improvements
Assist in the design and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day engagement matters
Coordinate with client finance teams, external auditors, and legal counsel as needed
Supervise and mentor Senior Associates, providing real-time coaching and feedback
Contribute to business development efforts including proposal preparation and client presentations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required (or actively pursuing)
4–6 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) or consulting; industry experience in a technical accounting role considered
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Experience with complex technical accounting issues in a client-facing or advisory capacity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex concepts for non-accounting audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics) a plus
Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
