RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE GLOBAL REGIONS-FOCUSED MANAGER ROLE: Financial Planning and Forecasting: Support the quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and multi-year planning processes for the global regions to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation. Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes. Synthesize budgets and forecasts to provide informed projections. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying key trends and variances. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support organizational initiatives and strategic projects. Monitor and track financial performance and metrics, analyzing variances and providing insights. Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analyses and trends, to regional leadership and other stakeh Strategic Support: Collaborate with regional leadership teams, Development, and other areas to integrate strategic conservation and campaign priorities into multi-year and annual plans. Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for global regional leadership. Implement best practices in financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy. Team Collaboration: Work closely with accounting teams and business units to ensure accurate financial reporting. Participate in cross-functional projects and assist other finance teams as required. Engage in a culture of continuous learning and improvement. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE: Provide timely and accurate financial reports, projections, models, and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and communicate insights to help prioritize resource allocation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial reporting and forecasting activities. Support the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans for business units and regions. Assist in preparing management financial statements, budgets, and plans. Participate in recruitment and training of new finance staff. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines under pressure. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed (10% - 30% of time) Maintain confidentiality of frequently sensitive and emotionally charged information Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain. Technical expert on complex accounting/financial issues. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial systems. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Demonstrated success in analyzing, manipulating and interpreting data, and developing, reporting and implementing solutions. Service-oriented, courteous, personable, tactful and experienced dealing effectively with all levels of staff. MBA and/or CPA and not-for-profit GAAP accounting experience a plus. WHAT YOU'LL BRING Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 7 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with computer and information management systems, Excel spreadsheets and databases for financial analysis, fiscal management, and/or financial reports. Experience in developing, directing and implementing multiple projects. Experience developing budgets, performing high level financial analysis and recommending corrective action as appropriate. Experience acting as a consultant/advisor to senior executives. Experience with GAAP and not-for-profit accounting principles, practices and regulations, including government grants accounting and reporting.
