Overview:

**This is 100% remote position. CHLA requires a primary residence in California prior to start date.**

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Manager, Forward Deployed Transformation serves as a leader within Children's Hospital Los Angeles, responsible for overseeing a portfolio of strategic transformation initiatives and a team of Forward Deployed transformation Consultants and Senior Consultants embedded across clinical, operational, research, and administrative functions. This role partners closely with executive, physician, operational, and administrative leaders to advance organizational priorities through operational, digital, and strategic transformation initiatives that initiatives that improve costeffectiveness, efficiency, productivity, and financial performance. The Manager is responsible for aligning transformation resources with enterprise priorities, developing organizational transformation capabilities, and ensuring successful execution of high-impact initiatives. Through a forward-deployed operating model, the Manager establishes structures that bring operational improvement and transformation closer to where care, research, and business operations occur. This position provides leadership for enterprise transformation efforts, drives accountability for measurable outcomes, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and data-informed decision-making across the organization.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:

• 6 years of progressive experience in healthcare consulting, performance improvement, healthcare operations, finance, transformation, strategy, or related field.
• Prior experience overseeing consultants, analysts, project managers, or improvement professionals.
• Demonstrated success leading complex enterprise-scale initiatives and competing priorities with significant operational and financial impact.
• Experience partnering with executive and physician leadership and effectively influencing strategic decisions.
• Expertise in organizational performance improvement methodologies.
• Experience translating data and insights into actionable business strategies and organizational outcomes.
• Expertise in change management and organizational transformation.

Preferred:

• Experience within academic medical centers, children's hospitals, or large integrated health systems.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, Prosci, or comparable certification.
• Prior experience with management consulting firms, healthcare advisory firms, or internal consulting organizations.
• Experience leading enterprise transformation, turnaround, or operational excellence programs.
• Advanced financial and operational analysis capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead high-performing teams.

Education/Licensure/Certifications:
Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, Operations Management, or related field.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.

Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.
