The Gift Shop Manager oversees daily operations, including staff and volunteer coordination, inventory management, merchandising, and financial performance. This role plays an important part in enhancing the patient and visitor experience by ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and thoughtfully curated product selection.
The ideal candidate has retail or supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare environment. Purpose:
The manager is responsible for providing profitable, customer-centered management of the LHAS Presbyterian and Montefiore floral and gift shops, and to supervise all gift shop personnel. This position will work varied days and hours as needed including weekends.
Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, retail management, or equivalent experience required. Minimum of three to five years of experience in retail management and buying with capability of handling all aspects of shop operation required. Gift shop management, especially hospital gift shop management, preferred. Strong customer relations, communications, and bookkeeping skills required. Working knowledge of Windows and retail accounting software preferred.
